Day 34

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:15-16

God, the beauty of this earth reminds me of You. The pounding surf and still waters, the cool of the forests, and the glorious mountains are all Your creation and a reflection of Your power and goodness. Thank You for giving me such an incredible place to live, surrounded by wonderful people.

I pray that You would put godly counsel in my path. Give me the courage to seek mentor-ship and discipleship. Don't let me depend on my own wisdom, but on Yours and those wiser than I. And then, Father, as I grow in Your wisdom, show me those who I can disciple.

Be with those who have absent family members and feel as though they have been abandoned. Show them that You are their great Father who will never leave them and who is able to fill that lonely place in their lives. And Father, lead them to gatherings of fellow Christ-followers who will walk beside them and encourage them in their journey. I am available, Father, help me to speak Your words to them. Give me courage to invite them to Community Christian and to a Community Group where they have a safe place to interact with those who love You.

Thank You for Your faithfulness and the gift of friendship. Thank You for bringing people into my life to encourage me to draw near to You.
