Day 13

Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.  2 Samuel 7:28

Almighty God,

You speak and it is done. Your words are true. They are powerful and they bring life.

Would You give me a desire for Your words? Sometimes I feel anxious, but I don't turn to scripture (Your written word). When I am fearful, I forget to ask You for protection. When I am weak, I am reluctant to ask You for strength. When I need wisdom and guidance, I go everywhere but to You. Renew my desire for Your constant help and remind me to return to Your Word, for You speak through Your Word, and Your Word is truth and brings light and life.

Please speak to my friends in need today. Bring to their minds the words they need for encouragement and direction. Help them to hear You.

Thank You that the Bible (Your written word) is all I need. Thank You for giving it to us as a gift and a guide. May I never take that for granted.

Thank You for each of our Community Christian campuses. Touch each leader and volunteer—may they realize what an honor it is to serve their brothers and sisters. And thank you for our pastors that share with us from Your word. Continue to use them to teach us... speak through them, provide for them, and give them deep joy.
