Marks of Love

Main Point

Love is the mark of a true Christ-follower. The love of Christ has been placed inside our hearts like a seed. It cannot be destroyed it is eternal and it bears fruit in our lives. We are called to give our full effort in loving especially those in the body of Christ.

We cannot love like God in our own power. The Spirit inside of us empowers us to love sincerely. 

Four Characteristics of Love:

1. Christ calls us to love sincerely.  (obedience to the truth)
2. Love begins in the body of Christ. 
3. This is a love that we need to give everything to. (Fervently) 
4. It comes about because we have been born again

• Pray that you would be able to show the love of Christ to others.
• Memorize John 13:34-35:

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
