Lesson Description

This lesson focuses on the importance of celebrating your relationship with Jesus through daily practices, scripture, and communal gatherings. It will help you develop a deep and meaningful connection with your faith. Community Christian services can be found here.

Celebrating Your Faith (Personal)

  • We celebrate God’s presence, love, and communication
  • Worship is our response to God because of who He is and what He has done for us
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Prayer, Scripture, and Reflection

  • Celebration is centered on and founded in the truth of the Bible
  • Know God’s Word
    • Hear God’s Word (Romans 10:17)
    • Read God’s Word (Psalm 119:18)
    • Study God’s Word (2 Timothy 2:15)
    • Meditate on God’s Word (Psalm 1:2)
    • Memorize God’s Word (Psalm 119:11)
    • Apply God’s Word (James 1:22)
  • Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Gathering as a Faith Community (Corporate)

  • Gathering with other believers to celebrate what God is doing
  • The value of worshiping together is encouragement
  • Hebrews 10:25 - Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Reflection Questions

  1. How have daily practices of prayer, scripture, and reflection impacted your relationship with Jesus?
  2. How has worshiping with others strengthened your faith?
  3. What specific steps can you take to celebrate your relationship with Jesus more intentionally in your daily life?

Action Step

Choose one daily spiritual practice (e.g., morning prayer, Bible reading, evening reflection) and commit to engaging in it consistently over the next month. Start by choosing a time, place, and plan. Reflect on how this practice deepens your relationship with Jesus. Join us at a weekend service.
