Read: 1 Peter 4:10–11 — a short, direct charge: whatever gift you’ve been given, use it to serve the people around you.
It’s easy to assume Community would be fine without you. It won’t be.
You’re a part of the body, and a body isn’t whole when a part sits out. Something only you were built to do goes undone — and the people who needed that thing feel the gap, even if they can’t name it.
But this isn’t only about the church needing you. You need this too. There’s a specific kind of aliveness that shows up when you serve the way God wired you — not drained, but filled. Do the thing you were made for and it stops feeling like a burden. It starts feeling like coming home.
The reverse is just as real. Serve out of guilt, in a role that was never you, and you’ll burn out fast. Stay on the sidelines and something in you goes quiet.
Your gifts are good for your church. They’re also good for you. Both are true at the same time.
Ask yourself (or your Community Group):
Do one thing: Name one time serving left you more alive instead of drained. Write it down — that’s a real clue to how you’re wired.
