Third Campus

Multiplication is the DNA of Community Christian.

Our vision is to change the spiritual landscape of Santa Clara County by living out our mission of helping people find their way back to God. We believe one of the ways we can accomplish this vision is by multiplying churches and leaders who are committed to reaching more people with the good news of Jesus. Planting another campus is about more than adding another Sunday service. It is about creating more opportunities for people to hear the gospel, experience authentic community, grow in their faith, and discover how God can use them to make a difference.

In fact, new church and campus plants experience a higher number of first time decisions to follow Jesus than existing churches. There are areas in Santa Clara County where the population continues to rise, but where few churches have been planted. Rather than simply becoming a larger church in one location, we want to become a multiplying church that creates space in additional communities.

We believe it is important to prioritize the mission and vision of our church over our personal comfort. We are not simply trying to grow a bigger church; we want to reach more people for Jesus.

Our hope is to find a building or existing church facility that we can lease and establish as the home for a new campus. We are also open to launching in a rented facility, such as a school or community space, if that provides the best opportunity to create a healthy and sustainable campus.

Finding the right location is one of our most significant prayer needs. We are asking God to guide us to a facility that will serve our church family and create a welcoming environment. We are praying that the Lord will literally open doors for us!

We invite everyone at CC to join us in praying for the right location, the right timing, and the resources needed to prepare a space where more people can find their way back to God.

Our goal is to secure a location by late spring 2027. This will allow us sufficient time to make any necessary renovations, upgrades, or preparations before our anticipated launch in August 2027.

Leading up to the official launch, we plan to host preview services that will allow us to introduce Community Christian to the area, develop volunteer teams, and prepare for a successful kickoff.

The specific launch date and service schedule will be finalized as we secure a meeting location, develop our leadership, and complete other necessary preparations.

Our plan includes hiring additional paid staff to help lead the new campus. We will also be developing a launch team of volunteers who feel called to help establish this new campus. Some of these volunteers will come from our existing campuses, but we will also invite those who are not currently part of CC, but may be interested in helping start something new.

Planting a healthy campus will require both strong leadership and a committed team of people who are willing to serve. The launch team will help establish the culture, ministries, and community connections that will allow the new campus to become healthy and sustainable.

Our plan is for the Morgan Hill and Foxworthy campuses to continue operating as they currently do, with no major changes to their regular ministries and services. Both campuses will continue living out our mission through the 3C's:

1. Celebrate God: Gathering corporately to worship God and growing in personal relationship with Jesus.
2. Connect with Others: Building authentic relationships and experiencing the life-changing power of Christian community.
3. Contribute to the Mission: Using our time, talents, and treasure to serve others and help people find their way back to God.

We anticipate that some families and volunteers from our existing campuses may feel called to help launch the new campus. While this will require some adjustments, we believe it will also create opportunities for new leaders and volunteers to step into meaningful ministry roles at each campus.

Our desire is for all three campuses to be healthy, growing, and actively engaged in their communities.

One of the strengths of CC is that our church is not built around one pastor, preacher, or communicator. We believe in developing and utilizing a team of gifted leaders who can teach God's Word and help people grow in their faith.

Because of this, CC will continue using a shared teaching team model across our campuses, with pastors and communicators serving in different locations. We will also have ministry staff whose primary responsibilities are focused on specific campuses, to shepherd and meet the needs of the congregation and guests.

This approach allows us to develop additional leaders, maintain a shared vision, and provide strong ministry leadership at each campus.

We are one church with multiple campuses, united by the same mission, vision, and commitment to helping people follow Jesus.

We are launching a two-year giving campaign called Project THREE21. The
name represents:

• 3 CAMPUSES: Morgan Hill, Foxworthy, and the new campus
• 2 YEARS: A two-year giving campaign to help establish the new campus.
• 1 CHURCH:  United in our mission of helping people find their way back to God.

Project THREE21 is rooted in Ephesians 3:21, which says, “to him (God) be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” We want more people to come to know the power of Jesus in a way that will impact generations to come.

No. Project THREE21 is an opportunity to give above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings. Our regular giving supports the ongoing ministries, staffing, facilities, and operations of CC’s current campuses.

Funds raised through Project THREE21 will provide additional resources specifically designated for establishing and supporting the launch of a third campus.

We are asking everyone who calls CC their church home to prayerfully consider how they might participate in this special opportunity while continuing to support the ongoing ministry of our church.

Our goal is to raise $1 million over two years to help establish and support a new campus. After considering the financial needs of the new campus and the giving capacity of our church, we believe $1 million is an achievable goal and will provide the finances needed to launch and sustain a new campus until it is self-sufficient.

Though we believe a third campus is the next step, it’s not the final step in our bigger vision for CC. If God provides above and beyond the $1 million, the CC leadership has a strategic plan that would help accelerate our mission of helping people find their way back to God. Long term goals include 24/7 space for each campus, expanded outreach and missions, staffing, pastoral training, and more.

There are three pieces to PROJECT THREE21:

1. 80% of Project THREE21's goal will be used to establish and support a new campus plant. This will include staffing, facilities, equipment and ministry expenses.
2. 10% of Project THREE21's goal will be generously given beyond the walls of Community Christian to other nonprofit organizations doing meaningful work in our local communities and around the world. This portion will go to what CC traditionally calls “Be Rich.”
3. 10% of Project THREE21's goal will include development projects that bless the Foxworthy and Morgan Hill Campuses. This portion will go toward what CC traditionally calls “Year End Giving.”

We believe kingdom multiplication is about more than growing CC. It is also about supporting other organizations that are making a difference in people's lives.
