When You’re Disappointed By God

..."Don't be afraid" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of Davis! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger." Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others-the armies of heaven-praising God and saying, "Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased" Luke 2-10:14 NLT

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public discgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. Matthew 1:18-19

Big Idea: In the midst of our ____________ God is still ______________.

Two Truths To Help When You Don't Understand

1. You don't have to understand the ____________________ to ___________________ God has a purpose.

Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:20-21

2. Your disappointment with _________________ might actually be a _______________ appointment from God.
