Reclaim Your Calling

Big Idea: God has a clear calling for your life.

Icebreaker: What's your favorite  way to recharge when you're worn out?

Key Scripture:

Ephesians 4:1; 1 Peter 1:14-16; Colossians 3:17; 1 Corinthians 1:26; Acts 9:15-16; Philippians 3:13-14; Romans 11:29; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Discussion Questions:

  1. God calls us to salvation, sanctification and service. How does that influence the way you view your calling?
  2. What are some ways your calling has cost you? How have you seen your calling sustain you?
  3. Read 1 Corinthians 1:26. What stands out to you in these verses? How does this verse impact the way you see God through who He calls?
  4. Has God ever called you to do something when you felt unprepared? What happened?
  5. What practical steps can you take to pursue your calling this week?

MOVING FORWARD

Father, thank you that the work you've given us doesn't depend on our own abilities. It's all dependent on you and your willingness to follow your lead, no matter where you take us or what you ask us to do. Help us to trust that you've equipped us well and will always be with us. In Jesus' name, amen.
